Hello Paula!We’re so happy that your friend has chosen Alta Ridge in Holladay as their home. Regarding our menu, we are actively taking steps to improve our residents’ dining experience. This includes, but is not limited to: adding a new dietician to our team to review our menus, creating an “Always Available Menu” to ensure our beloved residents have a choice, implementing “fresher” ingredients, and taking advantage of upcoming holidays. We have a really fun menu planned for Valentine’s Day and I’d love for you to join us. Furthermore, I set aside time each month to meet with the residents at our Town Hall Meeting. It is at this meeting that I discover what our residents want in their community and then I implement it into the daily culture. Finally, I recently added an activity called, “Cooking Corner,” to our activity program. This is an activity hosted by our Dining Services Director that gives both parties an opportunity to interact and learn from each other. It’s in these moments that we discover some of our residents won awards for the best, baked beans in town… And then we can borrow their recipe, wink, wink.Again, we’re thrilled that your friend is a part of our family and I welcome you to share your comments with me anytime as it will only make this community even better!

Not what I expected when I first walked in. It doesn’t look or smell like any other facility I’ve been in. The residents were clean and looked their best, the facility was clean and smelled like a home. Staff was very engaging with the residents. Very impressed!
After seeing the community it seems they would be able to provide care. The level of care is very good and the staff seemed to care. I was impressed with tour. The community was clean and appears nicely decorated. We did not get the feeling of home but we enjoyed the tour.
My mother really likes that the staff is very friendly and kind. The staff tries for my mother to engage in activities. She has been participating in the daily activities provided by the community at the moment. The meals are good and the community is up-kept.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
One thing that was very nice was the chef would prepare the food and if you were there visiting he would bring you some food as well. It couldn’t have been any better

When my aunt came nearly two yesrs ago she loved it even during Covid. A few mo ths ago they got a new director and everything changed. Almost all of the staff has quit leaving her with strangers. They won’t tell her anything and are scared of bring fired. It still looks good but the loving care is gone. Pay no attention to old reviews, it’s not like before.
