Assisted Living Boise Idaho Cost

I Visited This Facility

Boise assisted living center may be converted into apartment building

Willow Park was very nice, very clean, very bright, and very cheerful. It seemed like they had great programs, too. They were doing something for veterans the day I was there and everyone seemed happy and upbeat. The person who accommodated me was awesome, fun to talk to, and very upbeat. The dining area was very attractive. The rooms seemed a little small, but that wouldnt stop me from having my dad go there.

Assisted living is always a touchy subject.

Its probably left a funny aftertaste in your mouth a few times now- even after youve begun considering it seriously.

Theres an overhanging stereotype about assisted living thats hard to shake.

Facilities are so closely linked to old age, hospitals, weakness and inability to care for oneself, that its hard to pay attention when someone brings them up. The word assisted living, most likely conjures thoughts of white walls, hospital smells and adult diapers.

Willow Park Assisted Living , ID 83704 changes all of that.

If you or a loved one is considering assisted living, Willow Park Assisted Living could be the facility that decides it for you.

Its just that incredible.

The size of an Assisted Living facility in Boise can vary from a small, residential board and care home to a large resort-style community.

A. Small Care Home Facilities in Boise

Board and Care Homes located in Boise are regular residential homes in the neighborhood that have been converted to care for 6 to 10 senior residents. These care homes are licensed by Idahos State Licensing Division and permitted by the City of Boise.

Types of Residents

Residents in these Boise care homes prefer a home-like intimate setting that they are used to at home. While there are many small residential care homes that provide activities, pet and music therapy, fitness programs and more, these residents prefer to be with a smaller group of seniors.

Standard Assisted Living Services And Amenities In Boise Idaho

All assisted living communities in residential care facilities in Boise are subject to certain regulations that determine which long-term care services they must provide.

These types of facilities must have the capability to meet each residents individual daily needs. The services they provide should be appropriate for the level of care their residents require, which include assistance with their activities of daily living, general supervision, assistance with medication administration, first-aid services, emergency response, coordination of services with third-party providers, and housekeeping.

Additionally, all assisted living communities must provide service planning for each incoming resident that outlines their personal needs according to their medical history and preferences. Service planning begins with a pre-admission assessment which discusses a wide range of factors to determine an incoming residents level of care.

During a person’s pre-admission assessment, the facility will determine the level of assistance they need with their activities of daily living and the frequency they require services, their need for health care services, the level of medication assistance they require, any required interventions for their behavioral symptoms, and their physicians orders for health care services.

How To Find Medicaid

Assisted Living Near Boise, Idaho

I wish this site and the resources I am about to highlight were easier to find in a general search online. They dont come up often, but they have some of the best, most usable information found anywhere regarding Idahos 100s of assisted living facilities and residential care homes.

To do a general search, and to get state-supported information for Idaho assisted living, visit the State of Idahos Department of Health and Welfare, Licensing and Certification and then their Residential Care or Assisted Living section.

They have a section a little ways down for Consumer Information, and a section for Find a Facility. Under this section, once you select it, youll see a Facility Search Page which will take you to the Facility Licensing and Regulatory Enforcement System, or FLARES.

What I did was to simply enter a city I was interested in, for example, Boise, and then, youll see a checkbox that includes a selection for Accepts Medicaid Clients.

Easy enough.

Then, once you search facilities, a very easy-to-read list will come up. You will even see which facilities have received an Award.

From there, you can go through and look at the different facilities.

The details page offers some really good information, including:
