I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/past Resident
My father moved into Bickford of West Lansing, and we were very pleased with it. The move-in was smooth they even helped us set his bed up. Their community has a big van and it went to pick up his bed from the other community he’s moving in from. They’re super friendly, all the caregivers took the time to talk to him and they know their names and our names. We’re extremely impressed. He has done exercise, the men’s luncheon, Halloween party, and watching the football game with the guys. They have a bus and do outings also. The grounds are gorgeous, you walk into a big porch that’s decorated with rockers, chairs, and pillows, and we’ve watched the grass being always cut and trimmed. It’s just beautiful outside. In terms of pricing everything was spilled right up front, there were no secrets and each room size has a price. They have a scale of care, and my dad ended up in level two. If he starts going higher, we can start doing his laundry and his room cleaning to keep him in that level longer by taking some of those functions on the family. So we’re really pleased with the way they operated, it was all upfront. The staff is amazing. They take time in making sure that they live by their mission statement and make sure the people are happy and living by the moment.

The atmosphere is very homey and has a good open floor plan. They have nice outside areas for the residence that are safe and secure. The rooms are smaller but are private with their own bathroom. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
This is a very nice place. The layout of the building is in a square. Makes it nice for residents to get around. The cost is a bit less than other assisted living homes however. the rooms are around 412 sq feet. Give or take a few feet. They don’t have a movie theater, a workout room or a room for physical therapy. It’s done in your room or at the end of the hallway where there is a small area for them to use.
Overall we had a good experience at Bickford. They were very family oriented facility and they were great about working with us, especially towards the end. I would recommend to others looking.
was very nice. Certainly made me feel heard and understood. I loved the personal video chat + the prompt email follow-ups. However I think the facility has a lot of amenities that just won’t utilize.
This community is a beautiful place and the care I received from A specific individual was above and beyond what she needed to do.The room sizes were nice, and the food was good.I would definitely recommend this community

Description Of Bickford Of West Lansing
We began our quest into senior living because of our love for our beloved mother, Mary Bickford, whose needs became too great for us to manage. As we researched senior living options, we were shocked at our findings. The options offered too much or too little none met her needs and nothing felt like home. Since we couldn’t find what we wanted, we decided to create what we needed. Our main desire was to create a place that helped her achieve an equivalent peace and happiness that she had earlier in her life.
We understand that selecting a senior living community for your loved one is one of the toughest decisions that you will ever face. We will work with you to ensure that the transition is as easy and comfortable as possible. Whether your loved one is at home, in the hospital or even in another state, we can work with your hospital, insurance company, and doctor to make your difficult decision easier on you and your family. Aging can be difficult but we’ve also seen the beauty in aging. Our mother’s happiness inspired us. We created Bickford for her and now we’re devoted to serving yours. We look forward to meeting you soon.
