The Chelsea at Greenburgh is an absolutely gorgeous facility. The activities that they provided were higher level and they had more intellectual lectures and things like that, it almost felt like you were back at college. Unfortunately it was too expensive for us.

we toured Maple Pointe Assisted Living and the community itself looked lovely. on that particular day that I chose to tour, there was an odor. I’m not knocking the community because of this, as I know that most times that is not a recurring issue. that just so happened to be the case when we visited. I’m sure their aides and caregivers work hard to take care of their residents. it’s also important to note that all of these communities have an amazing sales pitch, where they ensure that they can fulfill everything you’re asking for. often times when you actually move in, it’s a different experience than what was sold to you during the tour. a lot of these places are also very understaffed. I’m unsure if that’s the exact case with Maple Pointe as we chose another community – it just boiled down to proximity and our budget.

I had moved my Aunt to this facility approximately two years ago. She likes the residents and staff and really needed the social structure to keep herself active. The management team has been responsive the few times I needed to adjust my Aunt’s daily routine or medication plan. They also have a memory unit, which we may need in tue future, so I don’t need to worry about another move if my Aunt’s memory continues to decline. I would recommend this Assisted Living and the staff.

Our family had an in person tour and we were very disappointed, we did not like it at all. The lady took us on the tour only on the assisted living, we had to ask to see the memory care residents. We saw them sitting in the art room with no paper, no things to color with, no music or TV on, the residents were just sitting there and we did not like that at all.

Our family had an in person tour and all the staff we met with her very nice, but it is an older facility and our loved one is very particular and clean and we thought it just wasn’t going to be the best fit. Also the pricing was just a little bit higher

This started off as a great option for our mother. In the beginning the lured us in with a “special” rate. After medicine and level of care additions the rate went up by half. The bills would come and we would have constant rate increases that eventually more than doubled our original fee. We decided to move our mother to another facility the day we watched a resident who was in the memory care unit fall, hit her head and get back up with NO reaction from staff.
