I had a good virtual tour at Courtyard of Mt. Tabor. Nothing wrong with it that I could tell. It was just out of my price range.

It has been a really good experience so far, and they do a great job keeping everything clean. I love the staff here they are perfect. The meals are good, and all of the waitresses are good. The activities are ramping back up there is a lot to do from different boards games to bus trips.

Courtyard at Mt. Tabor is brand new facility and just had a different vibe and feeling than the other that we looked into. There is a ton of natural light which made it seem more bright and cheery. There is a lot of common areas with big windows and a courtyard that is completely contained. They have garden boxes outside and each resident is able to plant their own stuff, my mom really enjoys it. The director has been absolutely amazing. Overall it has been a very smooth transition and I cannot say enough good things about them.

The community was Hotel-like and felt very comfortable. The community overall felt good

Not a good place. Dont move here! The food is bad and all they care about is cutting cost to increase their profit. Staff, residents and families I know are very disappointed in this place. Lots of changes lately and none for the betterment of the community- just the corporate pocketbook.

Kevin joined the Courtyard team in 2010. His close relationship with his grandparents is one of the main reasons Kevin Churchman was drawn to the senior living industry.

Graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in telecommunications and film, Kevins objective was to be a filmmaker. He deviated from that path after being hired as a flight attendant, which he did for seven years. That job was extremely fun, but grueling. I had the chance to travel the world, meet many celebrities and make some extremely close friends. It was a great experience and Im glad I did that right out of college, Kevin said of his time as a flight attendant. Kevin went on to work in high tech and then a local Portland radio station while continuing to produce videos. He also worked on the television show Leverage.

One of Kevins passions is music. He plays the piano, guitar and has attended hundreds of concerts. Theres a song lyric for everything, said Kevin. He also enjoys spending time with his German Shepherd mix, being active, traveling, and exploring the local Portland vegetarian/vegan restaurant scene. With the opening of Courtyards new Pavilion Memory Care community, Kevin is looking forward to this new chapter. Weve hired a lot of really amazing new people with incredible skills which will take our program to the next level. Its very exciting, Kevin said.
