My mother was in a bad car accident 2 weeks after moving into Edgewater. First, they told her she could move back into the medical unit. After enduring a painful ambulance ride, they told her they could not accept her and turned her away. She passed away a few months after the accident, not having returned to the facility. Yet, after paying Edgewater almost $100,000 as a co-resident, Edgewater refused to refund any money. They kept the entire amount for my mother being there for 2 weeks. This is robbery and unethical. Edgewater’s only response was to fall back on a sentence in the contract. Buyer beware!!! Also, I was there for their memorial day barbeque. I had the ribs. The ribs were processed meat that must have been put into a mold to look like they had bones. The most disgusting meal I’ve ever eaten.
