The founder of a successful senior living provider is serving as co-owner of a brand new operator that is setting its sights on a pipeline that will start with 21 new assisted living sites currently under development.

First & Main, the new senior living operator, is in part the brainchild of Thrive Senior Living Founder and Principal Jeramy Ragsdale, and Granger Group Founder Gary Granger. The new company, based in Atlanta, is an entirely separate entity, but will take some cues from the lessons learned at Thrive, as the offspring of Thrive and the Granger Groupa Michigan-based developer of senior housing communities that has committed to a billion dollars in development over the next several years.

And the new company is also taking an entirely new approach to its development pipeline including a focus on branding from its onset.

First and Main, from a consumer standpoint, is targeted at keeping the senior at the center of everythingfrom the daily commute to the grocery store and Starbucks, Ragsdale tells SHN. From a real estate standpoint, this is just good real estate. It is right at the corner of First and Main.

The companys memory care services will span a tiered approach including dementia light for those clientele whose needs fall between assisted living and full memory care.

But that is only the beginning for the fledgling provider.

This is one of the most focused brand rollouts that has been done to date, Ragsdale say.

This community is brand new and really beautiful but something a little more old fashioned would fit my loved one more. I would for sure recommend to tour this community however. This community was really good but there was just another community that clicked more for me.

Although my loved one has since passed away, we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent at The Avalon of Bloomfield Township. The staff is friendly, the community is clean, the food is AMAZING, and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. The Activity Director is great with the residents. Most of the residents we saw when visiting looked very independent despite some needs that we may not be aware of. Definitely recommend to anyone looking.

I think the rooms here are beautiful. The aesthetics and the layout of the actual facility are beautiful as well. There were a lot of things that she was not able to utilize most of the things that were offered just because of covid. She enjoyed the food here and they did have a chef on site who prepared the meals. I did not have to worry about her being here and it gave me peace of mind as her daughter. The nurses here were top notch and I would absolutely recommend them.
