Medicaid can help many seniors in Conroe pay some or all of the cost of residential senior care. This low-income health insurance program is structured as an entitlement, which is available to all eligible applicants who meet the programs intake requirements, with no waiting periods or enrollment caps.

To apply for Medicaid, seniors must be citizens or legal residents of the United States and residents of the state of Texas. Income limits are based on the federal poverty line, with a slight upward adjustment to account for the cost of living in Texas. Single adults applying alone are allowed to earn up to $24,037 a year from all sources combined. Married couples can earn up to $32,591 a year when applying together. Each additional adult in the household raises the income threshold by an additional $8,554 a year in income, regardless of whether the additional household members need Medicaid coverage.

Medicaid intake workers may verify income and other requirements before issuing an approval notice. Proof of residency requirements can be temporarily waived during intake for seniors with insecure housing or urgent health needs. Seniors can apply for Medicaid at a Human Services office in the northern Houston area, in person or by mail, or they can learn more about their healthcare options online at YourTexasBenefits.com.

Reviews For Heritage Oaks Assisted Living And Memory Care

Heritage Oaks Assisted Living & Memory Care Conroe, TX ...

We chose Heritage Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care because of the facility’s cleanliness and the availability to get us in quickly. They keep it remodeled and up to date. I would recommended them to other families looking.

We feel very comfortable with my loved one being here. There are lots of activities for the residents. This is a good place for those that can’t live on their own anymore. I would recommend the community.

Very impressed with the facility and their Marketing Director, . She was very open and did not pressure us in any way. Very clean, staff was friendly, and it felt very homey.

The friendliness of the staff members at the community are excellent, and the rooms there are nice.

The staff are very friendly. It is a clean facility. The food is good with variety and it is all home cooked from scratch. There has been a little bit of management turnover but the new person seems good. They offer activities but there is no gym or swimming pool, They have a very nice secured courtyard for the residents to the enjoy the outdoors safely.

It is one of the best places that I have seen. I have visited many places, and I like set up , it’s clean, and the staff genuinely care about the residents. However, I do think they are understaffed. The food is fine , my mom likes it. I don’t think they have enough activities right now though. My mom’s apartment is great and she loves it.

True concern for the residents.
