First Residents Moving In At New Oak Pointe Senior Living

The interior courtyard at Oak Pointe Senior Livings new Rolla assisted living/memory care community is one of the facilitys premier features. The buildings designs also ensures every resident has a view of either the courtyard or surrounding greenspace on Lions Club Drive.
The first residents are moving in this week at Oak Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care of Rolla. Oak Pointe is Provision Livings new assisted living/memory community located on East Lions Club Drive. The $7 million, 38,000-square foot facility includes 52 living suites which can house up to 65 people in either a studio-, one- or two-bedroom setting. It also includes a secure memory care neighborhood where individuals with Alzheimers or other dementias can live in a supportive, safe and secure environment. It is the first licensed memory care provider to open in Rolla.
Oak Pointe is celebrating its opening with a “Get the Scoop” open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday featuring ice cream from the South Central Creamery of Rolla.
Ridling has 26 years of long-term healthcare administration and senior advocacy experience. She previously served as executive director for Life Care Center in Waynesville and was executive director for nine years at the Golden Living Center in St. James.
Residents still able to drive will additionally enjoy valet service if they choose to take their vehicle out for a drive. Oak Pointe is also pet friendly for cats and dogs up to 30 pounds.

We know many of you are concerned about the spread of COVID-19 and how it may impact our senior living community. At this time, we are not aware of any of our residents or team members with the virus. While we fight this invisible enemy, our top priority is to do all we can to protect our residents, their families, and our team members. It is essential to keep in mind that while this virus can be serious, most people who contract COVID-19 will experience mild-to-moderate flu-like symptoms and fully recover. However, those that call our community home are more vulnerable to a virus like this and are at higher risk of serious illness. We have chosen to act aggressively and proactively by creating procedures to help reduce the potential for the virus to enter our building.
One of the procedures were implementing is limiting visitor access we simply ask that family and friends do not visit for the next couple of weeks. If there is a critical or time-sensitive reason for a visit, we will work with you on a case by case situation. Please contact the community by phone or email, and they will ensure we work with you on your specific matter. We have also suspended outside groups, entertainers, and volunteer events in the building.
These temporary inconveniences may make a positive impact on you as well as many others who live in our community.

There have been many great caregivers and advocates for my mom since her tenure however, Mariah K. continues to go above and beyond since her initial tenure there. When COVID started I was concerned that mom not having her normal doctor visits would affect her. Mariah immediately acted and setup virtual visits with moms dementia doctor. She continues to help get her out of her room and she FaceTimes me to help me deliver that message to my mom, Maria.
