Reviews For Oakmont Of Huntington Beach

1-88

They were exceptional during the tour and had outstanding service.

We chose Oakmont of Huntington Beach because of the cleanliness of the facility as well as the friendliness of the staff members. My husband is in a shared room and it is good size for what he needs. I would recommend to others looking.

My loved one is really happy there, and that’s all that matters. The staff are really nice, and they’ve been wonderful to her dog. But they’re short-staffed, which has affected the services a little bit. Overall, it’s clean. The rooms are clean, but the stairwell hasn’t been. I imagine not many people take the stairs though. My loved one says the food is very good. The base cost seems affordable, but all the add-ons for services really add up. I feel like they could be more transparent about that. There really is no assisted living unless you pay extra for it.

I would highly recommend to others for their loved ones. The community is modern and clean and this stands out to me.They have a nice patio and a garden area. The grounds are small, though compared to other communities.

Response from Oakmont of Huntington Beach

Although we are grateful for your feedback, we believe this review may be intended for a different senior living community. Our building is brand new and we have no stairs in the common areas of the building. Additionally, we do not offer a level of care called The Terrace, but another nearby community does.Sincerely, Rosa AyalaExecutive Director

Huntington Terrace Assisted Living & Memory Care in Huntington Beach, CA

In California, Medicaid is called Medi-Cal, and its available to Orange County seniors who need help getting the coverage they need to both stay healthy and to cover some or all of the cost of senior living in Huntington Beach. As administered, Medi-Cal is an entitlement program, which means applicants who meet the income and other eligibility guidelines may apply and begin receiving benefits with no enrollment caps, waiting periods or other obstacles to receiving care.

Medi-Cal delivers care through a complex network of secondary providers, such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield, as well as operating a managed care plan of its own. Benefits and exclusion rules can get complicated, and so it is always a good idea to ask a Medicaid planner, senior adviser or Medi-Cal intake worker about whats available and how to qualify for it.

Many Huntington Beach seniors who apply for Medi-Cal do so because they need help covering the cost of some kind of residential care. The program delivers this help directly, by disbursing funds to the skilled nursing or memory care facility. Payment support for hospice care is also available through Medi-Cal directly, or through a pre-selected HMO option listed in the welcome packet Medi-Cal provides new enrollees.
