The was a great community. The didn’t have as many amenities that we wanted such as full kitchen, washer and dryer in the unit and free wi-fi.
We chose Landmark at Ocean View because we knew someone who was already here and also the price was right for us, they were more affordable than others we looked into. We liked that they are a privately owned facility. The room sizes here are very nice. The nurses were great and they tried their best to care for my mother. The facility offers a good variety of activities for residents. It would be nice to have more communication from the staff members. I would recommend to others looking.

We were pleasantly surprised. The building is older but the interior is light, airy and well maintained. was very personable. He never rushed us through, answered all of our questions and concerns and introduced us to staff and residents.
Had a family member stay at Oceanview for a while. Most of the aides were very responsive, kind and helpful. Cleaning and laundry staff did a decent job. Restaurant staff were always kind, courteous and the food was good. No matter where anyone stays, as long as family members keep an eye on what is going on and advocate for their loved ones, things should go well.

Wow !! Where to start. My mom lived there for a year and a half. She was very happy with her apt. She will always remember that she met my dad in that building when they were just teens. She used to tell us stories about the building. The staff was so nice to her. The management team Sherry ,Teresa,Eric and Denise were so personable. They would even entice my mom to go to activities especially Elvis. She also loved a woman named Phelly who would take the time to be sweet to her. This was a tough time in her life but the staff even the head janitor helped her to adjust. Thanks again for all of the patiences and kindness you showed my mom and her family. I definitely would give this a 5 star.

Beverly Assisted Living Facility Closing For Renovations
BEVERLY, Mass. An assisted living facility in downtown Beverly is closing for renovations, forcing its residents to move out in 90 days.
Motif by Monarch, formerly known as Landmark at Ocean View, sent a letter to its 67 residents that they must vacate the facility by July 19.
Monarch Communities purchased the facility in December and realized the amount of repairs needed to renovate the buildingwhich includes the elevators, generators, and roofnecessitates its closure.
“Obviously it’s not our intention to kick someone out on the street,” said Monarch Communities Managing Partner Russ Dingman.
Monarch said it is assisting its residents in finding new homes, including financial assistance with moving, and will also offer its staff bonuses to stay.
“They had reached out to some area facilities, and some of those facilities have actually been onsite to meet with residents and their families over the last couple days to start talking through other options and opportunities,” said Beverly Mayor Mike Cahill.

Assisted Living Residents Given 90 Days To Vacate
Motif by Monarch, the former Landmark at Ocean View, told its 67 residents in a letter this week that they must move out by July 19 because of plans to renovate the building. The company said it originally planned to renovate the building without closing it, but decided that the level of disruption necessitates closing for at least a year.
“We understand that this situation will impact each person reading this in a variety of ways, and we want you to know that we do not make this decision lightly and we are committed to support you through the process,” Ross Dingman, the company’s managing partner, wrote.
Paul Lanzikos, the state’s former elder affairs secretary and former executive director of North Shore Elder Services, called the 90-day notice “outrageous.” He said he has never heard of an assisted living facility forcing all of its residents to move out.
“This is not any average population that’s being displaced,” said Lanzikos, who lives in Beverly. “These are frail, at-risk individuals and disrupting them in even relatively modest ways can be problematic.”
The company has not said whether residents will be able to move back once the renovations are done.
The facility at 3 Essex St. in Beverly is operated by Monarch Communities, a company based in Maryland. Monarch took over management of the facility in December, when an affiliated company bought the building for $16 million, according to Southern Essex Registry of Deeds records.
