I can’t even tell you how good I felt when I left mom this morning. She was like her old self. She told me that I was right and she was really going to like living at Peachtree. She showed me the project they worked on last week with the memory box and talked about all the things she is going to add to it. I just read an article on dementia and that specific project was mentioned as an idea for how to help stimulate memory in the brain!

I live in va and they live in ar. I came out immediately. We decided after 2 weeks they needed more help! Shes 88, and hes 92. A friend recommended Peachtree! I immediately made a visit and got literature! I was impressed the minute I walked through the door. Very friendly staff, very attractive facility and smells very pleasant. All safety precautions were be showing observed. They do respite care which has been a life saver. I admitted them under respite but hoping they will stay. Due to restrictions being lifted I was able to eat lunch today. It was delicious. They have a wonderful apartment. The staff are so nice and so friendly. I highly recommend this place. They have been a Godspeed for me!0Reply

Senior Center Safety Regarding COVID The Central Crossing Senior Center wants to assure our seniors that your health and safety are our top concerns and that we have taken the necessary precautions to that end.A special disinfecting sprayer was purchased and is used regularly at the end of day staff wipe every table and chair daily hand sanitizer dispensers are located at each entrance and the salad bar has been discontinued until the health department allows it to be put out again. In addition to those items, we replaced all the faucets in the building to touchless models and put foot openers on the restroom doors for minimum contact. Even the automatic door opener on the main door has been changed to a wave rather than touch.We realize that some of you would like to have our hot meals but dont want to sit at the center to eat so please know that you can call and request a meal to go. You must come in and scan in at the kiosk but that is all. While you scan in, your meal will be brought from the kitchen to limit contact. The suggested donation for those over 60 is still just $3.50 and for people under 60, $6.00. This is for hot meals, not the frozen meals of our home delivered meals! - We wake Norman at 7:30 am, per his request, for assistance with dressing
- Our nurses monitor his blood sugar levels and administer insulin as needed per his physician orders.

- Normans daily medications and pain meds for surgery are administered by a nurse everyday.
