Potential Negligence Action Against The Rose Garden Of Orlando

From the inspection reports and lawsuits filed against The Rose Garden of Orlando and its owners, the assisted living facility appears to have had resident care issues in the past. Basic administrative tasks, such as listing new employees on the Background Screening Clearinghouse website, confirming that background tests are conducted, and filing adverse incident reports, have been problematic for the Orange County assisted living facility. Requests for medication that needed to be obtained were never filed with the pharmacy, and medication logs stated that medication was given when it was not.

Reviews For Rose Garden Of Orlando

My mother enjoys living here very much. She likes all of the staff, and they treat her with warmth. She especially likes the décor, and the lovely dining room. She feels well taken care of by everyone here.

If someone has a loved one with Alzheimer’s, this is not going to be a good fit for them. They sent my wife to the hospital because they could not care for her and she has been there ever since. THey charged me for the whole month but she was only there for 2 days.

Response from Rose Garden of Orlando

Don, I apologize that you had a negative experience, that is definitely not the feedback we strive for. Per our residency agreement which is signed by either the residents or their responsible parties, our facility has a bed hold policy. This policy guarantees residents will have a home to return to if they met our state requirements for our license. This is something that is signed prior to all residents moving in. Residents/ responsible parties are responsible for rent payments until all belongings have been removed from the property. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at the facility if i can be any further assistance to you.

We were only there about an hour or so on our tour. It wasnt as clean as other places we looked at. I noticed the carpet in the hallways was awful. The staff was okay and everything. But when you first walked in, the foyer was in repair – it looked like they were doing repairs constantly.

In this survey, a review of the facilitys list of employees on the Background Screening Clearinghouse website revealed that an employee who had been terminated had never been listed as employed at the facility.

In addition, the facility was cited a second time for not correcting a previously cited deficiency. That deficiency was related to the fact that the facility did not file an adverse incident report for an incident where police were called due to an allegation that a staff member was observed pushing a resident.
