Reviews For Azalea Gardens Transitional Assisted Living And Memory Care

Azalea Gardens has been a blessing for my mom and our family. Not knowing what to expect when mom became a resident, my family and my mom have been very happy with Azalea Gardens. The staff has been wonderful to work with, and the level of care mom has received has been outstanding. There is a strong sense of community, and we have been very pleased with how the staff encourages family interactions. Mom really has enjoyed the activities, including making crafts, gardening, and social outings such as going to see Christmas lights at Oven Park. This has truly become a home for my mom, and we feel like we are part an extended family at Azalea Gardens.
Azalea Gardens has been wonderful for my mother and our family. ALL of the employees show such caring from the heart for the residents. I can walk in unannounced at any time and see the same high level of care, cleanliness and engagement.I love the smaller setting, and believe the caretaker to resident ratio is working well. I am also very impressed at the educational sessions they provide for families. They have been extremely helpful to our family as we travel on this journey together. If your family member needs quality assisted living care that provides memory care, this a wonderful setting.
My Mother-In-Law has been at Azalea Gardens for several weeks now and we couldn’t be happier. The facility is beautiful and very comfortable, and they have activities all day long there to keep her engaged and active.

Getting Ready To Move To Assisted Living In Tallahassee
It takes time to get ready to move into assisted living near you in Tallahassee. During the months you’re preparing for the move, it’s a good idea to take care of a few items as early as possible:
- Medical exams. Before you move into assisted living, it’s helpful to get a physical and neurological exam from a doctor. This is to establish a baseline of your health before you move, and to spot early signs of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, which may require a different level of care.
- Storage. Not all assisted living properties have space for a houseful of furniture and personal items. Even for the ones that do have the space, it’s usually smart to wait until you’re settled in before moving heavy items into your room. That’s why many seniors and their families set up temporary storage before the move.
- Facility tours. Try to visit as many of the assisted living communities as you can before making a final decision about where to go. You can learn a lot about communities online, but there’s no substitute for visiting a property and chatting with residents and staff in person.
- Financial planning. Moving into assisted living almost always represents a financial adjustment for seniors and their families. This can be good or bad, depending on what the monthly costs were before the move, but in either event some adjustment is likely, and planning should start as early as possible.
