Medicaid Program In Burbank
Seniors in Burbank who need help paying the costs of residential care can apply for low- or no-cost healthcare coverage through the federal Medicaid program, which in California is known as Medi-Cal. Medi-Cal is structured as an entitlement program, which means that all qualified applicants can sign up and start receiving coverage, with no waiting periods or annual enrollment caps. Medi-Cal delivers coverage through a network of in-state private health insurance carriers, such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Kaiser Permanente. Seniors who need coverage can browse these carriers HMO and PPO plans online, as well as apply for Medi-Cal compatible plans, at the Covered California website.
Medi-Cal plans are available with a variety of coverage options, but all have similar enrollment standards. To qualify for a Medi-Cal plan, seniors in Burbank must be citizens or legal residents of the United States and reside in the state of California. Seniors applying for themselves must earn less than 138% of the Federal Benefit Rate. Seniors can add an additional $5,741 per year for every other adult in the household, whether or not they receive coverage through Medi-Cal. Seniors who earn more than these limits may still qualify for limited Medi-Cal benefits. Applicants who earn up to 300% of the Federal Benefit Rate may have to pay a share of cost for medical care.

Reviews For Ivy Park At Burbank
We liked this community while mom was living here. The food was good and they offered some nice amenities. The staff here were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately mom was no longer able to care for herself so she needed to move into another place.
My sister is doing very well and it content and very happy here. She says it is the perfect place for her. It is a large community with 8 levels and with many people to meet. I am very grateful for the community and glad it worked out for my sister. This is also a convenient place for me to visit her.
I helped my aunt choose Vintage at Burbank and she’s been there now for several months. I have been a bit surprised to learn, after the fact, that despite the high cost of this place, the people who live there have pretty much no say in the food they are served. Not that you can make everyone happy all the time, but the chef or whoever makes the grocery list apparently pays much attention to any of the ongoing requests of the tenants. For $5K or 6K a month, you’d think you could get toast on the bread you want or asking for some other kind of fish instead of Talapia . I know that many elderly people have issues with their diets and a loss of appetite is common, so this really is not a small thing. I have another relative at The Village at Northridge and the food options there are amazing. Similar cost as well, so maybe we will be making that change for my aunt if they continue to be unwilling to hear from their tenants.
